The Zoning Compliance Verification process provides information to support an application for a building permit, per the Micanopy Land Development Code and governed by Florida Statute and the Florida Building Code. Within the corporate limits of the Town of Micanopy, zoning compliance must be verified by the Town Clerk before a building permit will be issued by Alachua County, per an interlocal agreement. The fee charged for a Zoning Compliance Verification is established by Resolution of the Town Commission.
The Zoning Compliance Verification is NOT a building permit. Do not commence construction from a Zoning Compliance Verification without obtaining a building permit from Alachua County.
