The Code Enforcement Board (CEB) is established by Chapter 2, Article III, Section 2-30 of the Micanopy Code of Ordinances to promote, protect, and improve the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the Town of Micanopy in an equitable, expeditious, effective, and inexpensive process. The CEB has the authority to impose administrative fines and other noncriminal penalties necessary to bring a violation into compliance. The CEB has the power to subpoena alleged violators and witnesses to its hearings, subpoena evidence, take testimony under oath, and issue orders having the force of law. The Town Commission makes appointments to the five-member Code Enforcement Board. Meetings scheduled as required.
