The Town of Micanopy is tucked between U.S. Highway 441 to the east and Interstate 75 (exit 374) to the west.  Surrounding roads are part of the Old Florida Heritage Highway System that acknowledges the natural and cultural importance of rural Alachua and Marion counties.

Visitors, take note that sunscreen and bug repellent will improve your exploration of north-central Florida.

Parking is available along Cholokka Blvd. and at playgrounds and nature preserves.

Restrooms may be found in Micanopy during open hours at Town Hall, the Micanopy Branch Library, and (for customers) at Coffee n’ Cream.  Facilities out at the ballfield and adjacent playground are open only when events are scheduled.  Parks and nature preserves do not offer facilities except during special community events.

Pick up free informational flyers at the Micanopy Historical Society Museum or from Town Hall (a former schoolhouse built in 1895) that include a walking tour of preserved buildings and the stories of their founders and significance, and locations of nature trails and parks.

Enjoy your visit to historic Micanopy!
